Designing for death raises critical questions about the meaning, purpose, equity, and quality of life on many levels - personal, interpersonal, and social. The project identified convergences and divergences in ethical issues by analysing and examining existing concepts of death; the meanings, metaphors, theories, and models of selected deaths were analysed and examined from multiple perspectives. Designing fictional scenarios became an important methodological tool in revealing issues and providing space for reflection, putting new technologies into narratives that force us to address the questions of ethics, values and social perspectives that surround death.
