'Hinowa', meaning the circle of the sun, is a critical design project against the current urban lifestyle. The light alarm clock is designed to let users consider what natural sleeping for humans is like. The face is inspired by Japanese traditional Shoji design. The LEDs inside the device fade in automatically when the sunrise. A microcontroller detects the time of sunrise every day by using API. The lights fade out when the user gets up. The device is connected to the user's smartphone, and the LEDs are turned off when step count data inside the phone reaches a certain amount.
