As Melbourne faces escalating climate challenges, sustainability education for children has become essential. This project 24 focuses on empowering children aged 3-5 in Melbourne by creating a culturally resonant environmental education program. Grounded in the 24 Chinese solar terms and inspired by the Montessori method, it promotes environmental stewardship through hands-on, outdoor learning experiences. By blending cultural heritage with sustainability, the program aims to inspire eco-consciousness in a way that reflects both Chinese traditions and Melbourne’s unique urban landscape, fostering early ecological responsibility in a diverse community.
