Over the last decade, the extraordinary advances in parametric design and digital fabrication have brought new and complex methodologies to the way that form is both generated and produced. The Flexible Modelling elective provides students the experience and expertise to create flexible computational, physical and mixed reality models for design and prototyping. Students receive skills-based instruction and engage in hands-on project-based design learning, applying diverse project-appropriate software. Using Rhino and Grasshopper software the course approaches design modelling from conceptual to realisation stages as an open, flexible and responsive framework.
