Sowmiya’s role focuses on researching the industrial applications of emerging technologies, particularly AR, VR, the Metaverse, and various spatial technologies, including digital twins. She is responsible for driving innovation and finding practical applications for these cutting-edge technologies in various industries. She is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in STEM, and organises and speaks at tech events, working to empower women in technology and create inclusive environments within the industry.
