Since completing MDIT Joseph and Shimroth have been developing Zero Tag Pty Ltd, a digital packaging startup, which has involved turning an idea to a business that blurs the lines between packaging, software, graphic design, and electronics. The product is a food-safe, water-resistant, biodegradable electronic tag that can be embedded in food packaging for smart grocery applications. ZeroTag is also a pantry app that links products to refill containers, to manage restocking in one place. It is essentially inventory management for refill at home, eliminating packaging and food waste, while saving money for consumers and online retailers.
