Project Haptera is a toolkit which introduces soft robotics and biopolymer material design through hands on learning experiences to primary school children that promotes creativity and exploration of emerging industries.
Using modular design principles, Project Haptera kits contain a library of components that allows users to design soft robots and control actuation through manipulation and ordering of components.
Designed to be used with existing and readily available materials such as silicone, Project Haptera’s ultimate intention is to provide a tool which promotes biopolymer material exploration through high level application and experimentation with phycocolloids such as alginates and agar.
