Things Interactive elective encourages students to engage with this question by building interactive systems big and small, concentrated or distributed, functional or poetic, using electronic sensing devices, actuation mechanisms, and integrations with \ digital media.

We made interactive things that were enacted through experimental making, prototyping and the careful balance of wearing both designer and ‘techie’ hats to produce these projects – all in 4 weeks, and built upon an introduction to the Arduino platform – writing code in C, wiring up electronic circuits, and extending these capabilities to connect to further software and hardware platforms from other electives and studios.
